The solution comes from
FARM2050, a group of different partners (including Google, Pepsi, Agco, Trimble, Microsoft, Bayer and John Deere) committed to with the advancement of future production of food by supporting the innovation in AgTech. Thus, they support the development of projects that seek to "seed the future of technological agriculture" through initiatives by entrepreneurs and start-ups in the agricultural sector that are capable of revolutionizing agriculture.
And it is that the initiative considers that agriculture needs to improve its structure in a way that allows it to accelerate technological advances, just as fast as it has happened in other industries.
There are many efforts around agriculture and technology. However, these efforts are often fragmented in the context of a complex agricultural ecosystem. Farm2050 brings together researchers, farmers, entrepreneurs, manufacturers and distributors to speed the way for new entrepreneurs.
“We are very excited about how entrepreneurs can apply cutting-edge technologies to improve food production today and how advances in data science and robotics now allow us to rethink the way we plant, farm, and harvest. Given that resources are not growing, we believe that innovation and technology are essential to overcome this challenge”.
